Firmware corrupted on( R9000)
I was performing an automatic (from the web...deeply regret trying that now) firmware update to 1.0.3.6 and i saw some sort of memmory error in the browser mid update. Lost connectivity to everythin...

This may be typical for that TFTP2.EXE program. Have you tried the
Windows command-line TFTP program?

Thanks for the response! Thats pretty much what I've tried, it seems to stall out mid load....going to give another dozen tries and hope it works.
Your first message doesn't fit in with my understanding of how the tftp thing works. Probably because it came before you tried tftp.
I would do everything off line. Download the firmware. Disconnect the router from the modem. Connect it to a PC and go from there.
What does this mean?

At what stage?
Have you tried with a previous firmware version?
Did you do the "long-press" of the reset button to get the thing into recovery mode? The power LED should flash white, if my memory isn't shot.
Steps i took..
1. performed a long reset aka 30-30-30 rest
2. left router offline; only connected to my pc with the pc static to 192.168.1.5 in order to connect to the router.
3. opened up TFTP2.exe to push the firmware.
4. selected localy downloaded old firmware version 1.0.2.52 set server to 192.168.1.1 and entered default router password "password".
The tftp software seems to connect (i also verified i could put a constant ping from my pc) and begins an "updating Flash" progress bar. It gets to the 50%ish mark then stops. I have it set to re-attempt 5 times. The counter goes up to attempt number 2 and the new progress bar says erasing flash, it never shows any progress and times out after about 30sec. This repeats unitll it hits the 5th attempt. All during which I have a blinking white power light.
