Firmware update. Please Help
My R7800 has firmware version 1.0.0.40. I'm running Windows 7 x64 SP1 on the machine doing the upgrade. Netgear Genie notified me there was a new version available. The notice said to "click here"...
Thank you for suggesting some solutions. I did eventually get the firmware to install. Although I followed the instructions not to open or change any windows in my browser, I discovered this was insufficient. What worked was closing both browsers I was using, reopening one with only the routerlogin page tab open and proceeding from there. I'm guessing the various open tabs were interfering somehow with the update process.

Please try using a different web browser in updating the firmware. Make sure as well to use a wired computer in manually updating the firmware.
