firmware update?
is there a way to check and see if i have the later firmware updates for the c7000-100nas modem/router? i do not see it yet in the routers setup section. or is this something i do not have any control over? thanks

- With the c7000, the isp pushes the firmware (and they rarely do).
You can check the version you have versus the one your isp uses.
https://kb.netgear.com/000036375/What-s-the-latest-firmware-version-of-my-NETGEAR-cable-modem-or-modem-routerthanks. it appears i have at least one update. the link provided showed for my model v1.01.33 i see on my modem it is v 1.01.34 so at one point i got a very small update. i do get tome of critical 3 errors. one time i when out and retightened all my connections and even changed out the splitter comcast provided with another one they gave me in the cable box and all the errors went away for aobut a week and then started showing up again so i gave up on trying to fix them. i tink i will get a router and hook all my devices up the thd router and then turn off the router on this modem combo so i think then i will be able to get updates faster and better, plus then i can maybe set it up for more security. thanks for this information on the modem updates. bp.
