"FREE" dynamic dns is a lie?
I was promised "free" lifetime dynamic dns if I used a Netgear domain with no-ip THIS IS NOT TRUE I signed up with no ip & set up my VPN and Dynamic DNS in November. about 30 days later, my VPN...
This is the second feature I have tried to use that has been "removed" after I purchased the device.
Backup was removed & I only found out after posting on this forum.
Now the "free" DDNS is removed.
This is the 4th or 5th Netgear product I have in my house. I had a WNR3000 that I loved, and because of that I bought only Netgear switches and other devices for the last 10 years.
THIS IS THE LAST NETGEAR PRODUCT I WILL EVER BUY

Check your email.
Look for messages from: No-IP Notices.
Subject: ACTION REQUIRED followed by your hostname.
The email says:
{hostname}.mynetgear.com is expiring soon
Your NETGEAR® hostname, powered by No-IP is expiring soon.
A nuisance, maybe, but free. You just have to read it and react.
Here's what the message says:
"Please confirm your hostname now. Inactive hostnames are removed from our system if they are not confirmed every 30 days. This policy helps keep only active hostnames on our network."
