Getting dns_probe_finished_nxdomain for the past few weeks. Possibly linked to the last firmware

I was able to roll back to firmware version V1.0.4.68_10.1.75 and solve the issue.
It is definitively an issue introduced in R8000-V1.0.4.74_10.1.80
I also noted that the router setup screens are more responsive in this version.
Guess I'll need to stick to this outdated version until the WiFi6e routers come out.
Hopefully Netgear removes the bloatware, increases the technical support (3 months is a joke), and substantially increases the maximum amount of clients, otherwise I'll be looking for a different brand.
Try downgrading the firmware a version or 2. That's helped most people.
some have needed to downgrade and then factory reset but I'd start with the downgrade first
