Getting DNS_PROBE_POSSIBLE error on R8000
In about the last month and a half, I have started noticing two things: * pings spike every 5 minutes, from about 8-9ms, to over 1000ms, for 5-10 seconds (this messes up Remote Desktop) * DNS_PR...
Tomato on works on certain models. It does not work on mine. Changing DNS servers on 40 or more clients is not a strategy. Most dont even have a way to change the DNS.
Yes I understand that this is not a fix all solution for everyone. I just was trying to get some more information out there if someone might have a small network like mine. I don't get the dns issue on my mobile devices just windows computers on my network. I figured since this was a more consumer oriented device your average consumer wouldn't have that many devices on their network. I can understand why that would be a pain in the butt. Just thought I'd put it out there if someone doesn't want to change the software and have a simple temporary fix.
