Getting router to work after move

I have a nighthawk R9000 router and no matter what I do it won't connect to the internet. One way to tell if your firmware default (hard) reset has been successful, is the router starts broadcasting Wi-Fi with the default SSID and password on the label plate on the back.  If the Wi-Fi change does not happen, repeat the default reset.

Any time you move and connect to a new source (your SB8200), the first option is to complete the firmware default reset on your router.

Make sure you are starting your network in the correct sequence.  Power down your router (pull the power cord) and power down your modem (pull the power cord).  Power up the modem and give it plenty of time to boot and connect.  One of the last indicators that should illuminate is the Internet connection.  Now, with the Ethernet cord in place, power up your router and give it plenty of time to boot and stabilize.  One of the last indicators to illuminate will be the Internet connection.  It could take several minutes for your ISP to assign an IP address to your network.

Make sure your Ethernet connection runs from port 1 on your modem to the WAN connection on your router.
