Getting router to work after move
I just moved to a new place and setting up internet. Had to get my own modem a SB8200. I got that set up and verified its working by hardwiring it directly to PC. I have a nighthawk R9000 router and ...

The SB8200 might have 2x ethernet ports but most ISP's only support 1 public IP address. Meaning only 1 device can be connected to it.
So if your PC is connected, the router won't work.
Power off the modem/router and disconnect everything from the modem and give it ac couple minutes.
then power the modem back on and give it a couple minute.
ONLY connect the router to the modem (port 1) and then boot up the router and run through its setup process.
