GS116E and UDM Pro Lan Internet Issue
Alright so since I've exhausted all other fourms searching for an answer and not finding one, I wanted to try my luck with a post. I just purchased a UDM Pro. Initial configuration was a mess just li...

Swell. Why?
I've invested the time to find out what that is. Perhaps you could
reveal what you did with it. Did you connect some hole(s) or other on
it to some hole(s) or other on some other of your gizmos? Any useful
information might help.

To a reader who has not read "all the reviews" (thanks for the
helpful links), that non-description conveys exactly no useful
information. With my weak psychic powers, I can't see your
"configuration", initial or other.

And now? Note that a C7800 is a modem+router, not a simple "Modem".

In a sense, perhaps. If you're cascading the router in the UDM Pro
with the router in the C7800, then you might expect some problems.

"attempt" _how_, exactly? As usual, showing actual actions
(commands) with their actual results (error messages, LED indicators,
...) can be more helpful than vague descriptions or interpretations.

That switch is probably the least significant part of your network.
If you want to use the UDM Pro as your (only) router, and the C7800
as only a modem, then visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your
model number, and look for Documentation. Get the User Manual (at
least). Read. Look for a topic like "Connect Your Modem Router to a
Router After Installation and Activation".
The solution invovled creating vlans in the switch that you seem to think had nothing to do with the issue. I don't appreciate how attacking and unhelpful this post was. Ubiquiti's community forum provided a non aggressive solution within an hour. Nice to see the netgear community helping novices in an attacking way. Thanks for nothing
