GS305v3 not getting Gigabit speed

I'd expect that to depend on the problem.

Is it good? Does a different cable work better?
There are not many potential culprits to blame here: Bad port on
router, bad port on switch, bad cable. The cable (if properly built)
should be good up to 100m, so 75 feet should not cause a struggle. A
badly attached connector could explain many things.
The problem is with the GS305v3. In fact, the same switch can get 1000M when connected to my other router, a R6250, with the same cable.
I had nothing but trouble with this piece of crap. The R6250 seems to be the only device it will connect at Gigabit speed. I can't believe Netgear is even selling it.
Has anyone tried 12V power adapter with GS305v3? I know it takes 5V only, but GS308 uses 12V, and it is hard to imagine that GS305 and GS308 use different chipsets,

> chipsets,The question is the power-supply circuitry, not the "chipsets". You
don't need to "imagine" anything, just read the Product Data Sheet.
(Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation.) Or look at the label.The GS305v3 gets gigabit speed only when it is connected to Netgear R6250, but not when it is connected to Netgear R7000, or any other routers/switches that I can find.
So there is no way to make the GS305v3 - a gigabit switch - to connect reliably at gigabit speed, even with another Netgear product. To this switch, gigabit speed (with R6250) is more an exception than the norm. Is there a way to request a refund?
