There are no settings to change on an "unmanaged switch", and the
non-psychics in your audience know very little about the rest of your

"not" is not a very detailed description of what happens. As usual,
showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error
messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague
descriptions or interpretations.What are the IP addresses of all these gizmos? What, exactly, is

What, exactly, does "connected directly to the printer" mean to you?
USB? If you've installed the printer on that PC with a (private) USB
connection, and then you disconnect the USB cable, and connect the
printer to the network, then I would not expect that PC to figure out
where the printer went. If you haven't told Windows on that PC about
the network-connected printer, then you might want to try that.
