High ping fast WiFi on my R8000p router
So I’ve been experiencing high ping on my game and I cannot seem to find out why I live close to the game servers and I still get high ping I always use to get 10-20 ping now I get 60-100 ping and it ...
The Arrris DG1670A is a modem/router combo device. It isn't just a modem.
It causes a double nat and can increase ping times.

Ping is just a measure of time to send a packet to a certain ip address and then receive it back (simplified).
Every additional step increases ping time. Distance increases ping time. Even going over wireless increases ping time. Having another device inspect the information such as a running 2 routers on a network increases ping time. Its called a double nat.

And there is no simple "push this button" and it fixes your ping times. Its a whole series of things you can do to improve your times. There's been numerous articles written on it. its why I linked 1 of them for you.
