How do I bypass VPN to get IP for R7000

I'm trying to get into my Nighthawk R7000 router from my PC so I type command ipconfig and get 192.168.132.1 which takes me to my VPN dashboard not the router. I've logged out and switched the VPN off but it still takes me to its dashboard. How can I stop this happening please?

    The default IP address for the R7000 is 192.168.1.1

    You'll probably have to dig into the entrails of this unnamed VPN.

     

    Not much that Netgear can do about that.
