How to Connect to Xfinity Public WiFi Hotspot

Can I use my Nighthawk AC1900 Cable Modem Router to connecect to an Xfinity public hot spots while I am on travel? I am an Xfinity customer (home ISP), but I can't get this modem router to connect while I'm on the road. I don't see any way to input the IP address, or MAC address or do any type of configuration.

 

Do I need a travel router? If so, any specific ones?

    No it won't connect. 

    You could ask xfinity what devices you could connect to their network.
