Can you set the router in Router mode and disable DHCP by unchecking the "use router as DHCP server" box?

Hi Sensei, took some time, did a new manual setup, restored to the new and later ot the old version of the firmware but all no avail, still 2 dhcp servers in the network. Had the provider look into the network, saw the same. Like you said, must be a firmware problem. I guess , most using the nighthawk as ap use the modem as bridge but is not possible in my case. How can I approach netgear on this? any idea? Appreciate your support!

I believe that part. What's not obvious is that the R7000-as-WAP is
providing one of them. We're talking about Netgear router firmware, so many things
(including some amazing types of errors) are possible, but using an
R7000 as a WAP is pretty common, so, if there really were such a problem
with the R7000, then I'd expect to see many more complaints about it in
these forums. Which I haven't seen.It would be much easier to believe that you have some rogue device on
your LAN which is causing the trouble.Blame assignment is Job One. I'd disconnect all the devices (wired
and wireless) from the R7000-as-WAP, and verify that the problem still
exists. Then I'd disconnect the R7000-as-WAP from the main router (or
power it down), and verify that that solves the problem.Another diagnostic possiblity would be to monitor the network traffic
(Wireshark?), and see who is responding to a DHCP broadcast request, but
that might require more work. - RayB398May 13, 2020Tutor
Many thx for your support in this. The solution was posted, have to disable while being a router before switching to WAP. Now DHCP is disabled, as also the screenshot shows. DHCP=uit (uit in dutch means off)
