Like antinode says, the "xfinity hotspot" probably isn't yours. I haven't found any netgears modems that have the xfinity hotspot integrated.
It is definitely mine. Not sure what to tell you. I know this for a fact as it becomes unavailable as soon as I unplug it, and reappears once it powers up again.
