Have you considered a power line extender?
There are several models. Be sure and look for the features you need (like Ethernet port) on the far end.
I have seen the power line extenders but I do have Ethernet throughout the house so I just need an access point that will work with the R6700 router… not sure what capabilities the access point needs to have to work with the R6700 router… I want one access point on the main level and one in the second level and they will have access to power and an Ethernet connection…
