Agree with michaelkenward on his R6700 comments. Replace your R6700 and turn your R6700 into an access point.
Depending on your needs, Netgear makes a couple of plain access points. In the AC arena, look at the WAC124. In the AX arena, look at the WAX204.

Ok hadn’t thought of it that way but yes am open to buying a better router and turning the R6700 into an access point if it has that capability… so new to this… WAC =WiFi 5? WAX=WiFi 6? Hard to lay out the complete needs for all the connections but most will be hard wired with Wifi needs primarily for cell phones and gets that bring iPads and some gaming consoles like Switches for the grandkids… outside of that the wifi is not the primary means of connection… all TVs and XBoxes are hard wired… with this in mind which router would be suggested that would be capable of using the R6700 as an access point?
Thanks in advance

You need to do some research. This is a good place to start. https://www.duckware.com/tech/wifi-in-the-us.html Don't try to absorb it all at once. It is a great reference. Presuming you are in the US.
Many new routers on the market. Understand your needs, check the reviews, and let your pocket book be your guide.
