By 'Router', are you referring to the Xfinity SB-8 router or the NetgearR6900? and would you know how I get get its IP address?
Yes. The Xfinity SB-8.
In AP mode the R6900 is no longer a router. It gets its IP address from the Xfinity SB-8.
You'll have to check the manual for the Xfinity to work out how to get the IP address of the R6900.
Overview of Xfinity Gateways - Xfinity Support
Routers usually have their own IP address that you can get at with a web browser and the graphical user interface (GUI). For Netgear, the usual address is 192.168.1.1. Some brands prefer 10.0.0.1.
Feed the IP address you find into a browser and see what happens.
Lastly, how do I 'aim the browser' at the ip?Same as getting in to the router. Feed the IP address you find into a browser. (Some browsers will try to block you for security reasons. This is rubbish. It is a local address.)
Most routers should have a list of "connected devices" look for the one that could be your R6900.

Hi Michael,
If you find the IP address that the router has assigned to the AP, then you can aim the browser at that.
Could you elaborate the above statement?

I'm praying that I could get the logon prompt again : -(
Thanks Michael

Hi Michael,
I got it to work. I went to my Xfinity main login and tracked down the MAC and IP of the Netgear router. Then I just entered the IP on the browser and enter my login credential and I was able to launch and configure my Netgear.
Thank you so much!!

That's the way to do it. Well done. Hope you got you back to where you wanted to be.
