There may be various reasons behind it. To troubleshoot a dropped connection in a router, follow these steps:
1. *Restart Router*:
- Power cycle the router by unplugging it for 10-15 seconds and then plugging it back in.
- Wait for the router to fully restart.
2. *Update Firmware*:
- Log in to the router's web interface and check for firmware updates. If available, update to the latest version.
3. Check for Overloading*:
- Too many devices using the network can overload it. Disconnect unused devices or upgrade your plan if needed.
4. *Reset Router* (as a last resort):
- If none of the above steps work, you can reset the router to its factory settings and reconfigure it from scratch. Be sure to back up your settings if necessary.
