How to Release and Renew IP Address With Fios on Nighthawk x6 R8000

Hi, I use Verizon Fios and have a Netgear Nighthawk x6 R8000 and I've been trying to release/renew my router's IP address for like an hour now with no luck. 😞 No matter what I do, I just keep getting the same IP address from Verizon. They tell me the router is the one that requests the IP, not the ONT.

So I tried changing the mac address for the router, tried rebooting both the ONT and the router, reset the Router to factory defaults, did the Release / Wait 3 minutes / Renew thing in the Netgear Genie router site at http://192.168.1.1 - nothing seems to work, I'm stuck with this IP forever lol.

Verizon also tried "sending a signal" or something after I rebooted the router, but that didn't seem to refresh the IP either. They said they could explain tome how to release/renew the IP with a Fios router, but because I use my own router they can't really tell me how to release the IP. Makes sense I guess, but I might just buy the Verizon one if there's no way to release/renew the IP on this one. Anyone run into this before?
