How to set up wireless bridge in R7000
Netgear R7000 with firmware V1.0.11.134_10.2.119 My main modem/router is in the middle of my house. I would like to add my R7000 in my office to give internet to a Windows 10 desktop and a VOIP b...
It works. The trick was to click Setup bridge and then nter the SSID and password for main router/modem. After restart the IP changed for R7000. It is now http://192.168.0.24. I found this out by visiting the maim router/modem at 192.168.0.1 and looking for the R7000 in the list if connected devices. Now I need to see if the R7000 with this version of firmware and in Bridge mode will have the same problems as before. If so, my next step is to try Asuswrt-Merlin (firmware file RT-AC68U_386.7_2.trx).
Glad you got it working. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
