How to turnoff the Centurylink 3000Z router option of Modem router combo?
I have succesfully set up the Nighthawk 63 wifi in my house and would like to shut off the old inferior router that came with the modem. Is this easily done? The Nighthawk was a breeze to install....

Thanks. Will do.
No need to go anywhere else in this community, if that is what you planned. That bit of pointless boilerplate text just wastes time and confuses everyone.
Your question is generic and applies to any router, regardless of the label on the side.
The solution is usually to do search for "[model number] bridge mode".
Not all modem/routers have this feature. (Thinks BT's horrible HomeHub in the UK.)
Looks like you may be in luck:
Centurylink C3000Z bridge mode - Google Search
I assume that the 3000Z in your subject is C3000Z.
