I’m having trouble….

Hey

I just bought a Netgear Wi-Fi mesh extender and I ran into a problem… it COMPLETELY destroyed my home network as I can tell…. Every device was instantly disconnected from my home Wi-Fi and I can’t even figure out how to get it to work again…. I’d really love some suggestions

    We'd love to help. but you gave us zero info. 

    1. what extender did you buy? 

    2. what firmware is on it?

    3. what router are you connecting it to? 

    4. what modem/gateway do you have? 

    5. What method of setup did you use? WPS, the app, using the installation assistant? 

    6. are you setting it up in access point mode or extender mode. 

    7. What does "kills your network" mean in details? does wifi stop broadcasting? do devices say "connected, no internet", what actually happens.
