- Oct 08, 2015I agree, especially since you said that it doesn't work when connected directly to the modem. That's proof that the router is not involved.

It's odd to see so many non responsive hops for traceroute, but the final hop is responding, so that means the router should be working.
Have you tried connecting your PC directly to the modem? Does that work?
Do you have or does Stream require any port forwarding?
You could try doing a factory reset of the R8000 and see if that helps.

I also had an issue when the ISP came out and also noted the same dozen+ hops to the first gate, so I don't know if it has anything to do with this or not.

I tried it last night and it didn't work but I will try again.

I borrowed my roomates laptop and plugged in ethernet directly into the router and it worked fine. Even did a tracert and didnt drop, so I think it has to do with my PC. I will try system restore, if that doesn't work then I will reformat.
