- Sep 17, 2019Thank you to everyone who provided suggestions. I ended up downloading the Netgear app ( I forgot the exact name, maybe Netgear UP) and was finally able to get into the login screen where all the router settings are located.
I then had to reset all the parameters fresh and now it’s working fine.

are you trying to connect to the router'e GUI at http://192.168.1.1 ?
if so, it should not ask you for any serial numbers, only user and admin which by default are "admin" and "password"

Yes. I tried that address. I tried all this: By default, your NETGEAR home router's IP address should be assigned as either 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1. You should also be able to access your router by typingin http://www.routerlogin.net or http://www.routerlogin.com into your web browser's address bar.
Then when at the page with admin/password, if you click cancel, it wants you to put in your serial number. It won't let me move past that screen.
