    Thank you to everyone who provided suggestions. I ended up downloading the Netgear app ( I forgot the exact name, maybe Netgear UP) and was finally able to get into the login screen where all the router settings are located.

    I then had to reset all the parameters fresh and now it’s working fine.

What mode is the R7000 in? Router or Access Point mode? Don't know the difference? Check the manual for Access Point Mode.
