I have a R7000p model AC2300 Slow Wi-Fi speeds.
I have a R7000P behind my cable modem (Netgear Nighthawk CM1200) I just upgraded to 1 GB service. I am able to get 800-900mb while I directly connected to the router but while I am connected to WIFI I am only getting 200mb. I have rebooted and did a factory reset multiple times and get the same speed. The R7000p Firmware is V1.3.2.126 I have tried updating the firmware it states I am on the latest version. If I go Netgear website it states there is a newer version downloaded and tried to update but I get the Error This update is not compatible with your hardware. What can I do do get the speed on the WIFI.
Thanks

Depending up on what wifi devices your using, 5Ghz AC usually maxes out at around 300-500Mpbs for most 2x2 MIMO supporting wifi devices. You not see anything near 900Mpbs wifi speeds on this router. Nature of the beast.

Of course, however again, depends on your wifi devices. Most only max out still. You could upgrade to something with AX however you'll need wifi devices that support that wifi mode. And again, speeds depend on MIMO support. 2x2 can see around 700 to 800Mpbs on AX modes. 4x4 can see 900Mpbs and over. If a router has 160Mhz support on 5Ghz AC like the R7800 has, you see near 900mpbs if you had a wifi device that supported connecting at this rate on 160Mhz. Many variables on wifi.
