Please review the https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/R7500/R7500_UM_22Jan2015.pdf Use the Router as a Wireless Access Point. The IP address for the R7500 in Access Point Mode will be assigned by your first router DHCP server, the same for all wireless clients accessing any WiFi.
You are free in the selection of the SSID (the wireless name) and security config for the primary router and the access point - permitting the involved routers and the AP does allow.
Avoid any strange experimenting with DHCP server and static IP configs. Nightmare predictable.
