Thanks! I did try this, but in the end there were still 4 different signals (2x from router 1 and 2 from router 2) i want the nighthawk to send the same 2 wifi networks as the orgininal so this does not seem to work for me.

Did you put the "remote" device into AP (wired to the router) mode as others recommend? Or did you set the two up with a WiFi (bridged) connection.
You don't say what this "modem" is, so who knows how it can work?

What you need is a Mesh system. Tour R7500 does not support this.
You can set up both devices to use the same SSID and passwords (read the manuals), but that isn't going to deliver ,much benefit over two separate SSIDs.
Why do you want "the same 2 WiFi networks"?
Any WiFi clients you use will have to negotiate a connection to whichever source it sees.Only a Mesh system can manage a seamless handover.
Using the same SSID and password can be worse than having two separate networks because the WiFi clients can get confused. The handover isn't likely to be any quicker with the same SSID.
