Is [DoS attack: Smurf] blocked by the router?

Question

For the DoS attack: Smurf, does the router log entry below mean it was blocked by the router? The IP is my internal LAN and in fact my laptop. I get a lot of these log entries.

[DoS attack: Smurf] attack packets in last 20 sec from ip [192.168.0.8], Sunday, Feb 20,2022 10:17:51

What Firmware version is currently loaded?What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

Router:&nbsp; Netgear R6700V3 Firmware: V1.0.4.126_10.0.102Cable Modem:&nbsp; Netgear CM500,ISP: Cox CableService: 180Mbps down, 10up&nbsp;I've just been troubleshooting Internet outages after replacing a failed router with another R6700V3 I am&nbsp; still experiencing some short term internet outages experienced by all devices on my LAN (wireless or wired) &nbsp; and wondering if it has to do with the DoS Attack routers log message.&nbsp; The IP address in the DoS Attached message is my laptops IP address.I use WIndows 10, and run Windows Security and ran an "Microsoft Defender Offline Scan" as well as a "Full Scan".Thanks!&nbsp;&nbsp;

NETGEAR DoS protection is famous for false positives and is broken beyond repair. I suggest disabling it as it gives a false sense of security. I run already 4 years without it and never had issues
