Is it possible to disable one of the 5Ghz channel on R8000?
Hello, Let me start saying that this is not an issue; But lately I noticed that using the headset Astro A50 gen3 - the A50 uses the 5Ghz channels 149-165. The R8000 has two 5Ghz bands one that ra...

Apperantly the Astro A50 gen3 uses the same range of channels as the 5Ghz (2) band from the R8000 (149-165) - so whenever they conflict there is a sound drop of 1-2 seconds then the sound comes back again.
According to the Astro Gaming support - they told me that these headseats uses the high channels of the 5Ghz band (149-165 channels). They advised me to concentrate the channels bellow 100. If I had a dual band wifi router - yeah - not problem - but since the R8000 is a tri-band I can't isolate the 5Ghz channels to only bellow channel 100.
This is not an R8000 issue - its just Astro A50 gen3 that was designed like that.
Currently I have the Smart connection option on and both 5Ghz active (one on channel 44 and another on channel 149). The second 5Ghz band does not give me more options besides (149-165). Is there a reason for that? For example low channels will ahve less bandwitdh and higher channels higher bandwitdh ?

are u saying your headset uses all channels in the 149-165 band? and you dont pick a specific channel to use? i'd expect you should be able to pick a specific channel for the headset and that should solve the problem
the R8000 5GHz channel does not use auto mode to pick a channel in the band...you can specify one of four between 149 and 161 and keep the astro above 161 to avoid any overlap
