Issue setting Static IP Address AC3600 WiFi Router (R7960P)
I can’t seem to set any Lan Static IP Address on my AC3600 WiFi Router (R7960P). I wanted to take advantage of the nighthawks features and setting the nighthawk as my main router and not the ISP (ATT)...
So you mean setting an IP address Reservation? This differs from Static IPs that are set ON devices.
What FW version is loaded on the router?
A point that people often miss.
It can also help if you explain what you are trying to achieve.
There are many reasons for fixing an IP address.
Sometimes it is better to go for a static IP address, sometimes a reserved IP address is easier.
What I'm trying to resolve is this issue im having with these two Xbox One's with the restrictions it has. I had set up port forwarding with their respective IP address and the manual port to be able to have an Open Status with no restrictions. I didn't want to use uPNP because i heard that wasnt as safe as port forwarding. This issue began when i decided to make my NightHawk router as my main router and set up IP passthrough through my ATT modem (BGW210). Everytime I go online with the Xbox it gives me a different IP Address
At this point i just need whatever makes it easier to play online with an open status.

V1.4.4.94_1.3.56Did you set up IP address reservations for the xboxes when connected to the R7960P in router mode while you had it connected to the ISP modem with IPPass thru? Setting a IP address reservation will keep the xboxes from changing IP addresses:
