just bought a new ac1750
so i have fiber .... right off the modem i get 999/999 but when i connect router and hardwire it i get 400/365 is there a setting to solve this loss of banwith speed ???????

Thank you for providing next to no answers to my questions.

A number is more useful than "the latest". (It may not be by the time people read this.) There can also be newer versions, or "hot fixes", that do not show up if you check for new firmware in the browser interface.
We still don't know what the modem is, if there is one.

Not the most advanced router on the shelf,especially for GB broadband. Not even a Nighthawk, so this isn't the place to look for discussions related to that device:

In the meantime, ensure that you don't have anything like QoS or traffic metering turned on.

Router Firmware Version
V1.1.0.66_1.0.1and it say r6350 as model number on the box ...
