Just installed Starlink to Nighthawk X6 (R8000) ac3200 router but cannot boost coverage upstairs
Hey Everyone I need some help as I may not have this connected up correctly to boost my signal, or maybe I need some extra kit. Just plugged my Nighthawk into the ethernet adapter linked to Starl...

Is the R8000 right by the starlink router?
routers have had set broadcast power that's been maxed out for years. So you don't gain much distance unless the ISP supplied device is horrible.
You could just run an ethernet cable from the upstairs (low coverage are) and put the r8000 there.
Or you could add an extender.

Thanks for replying, it's very much appreciated!!
Yes, the R8000 is right next to the Starlink and connected via the Ethernet Adapter.
Well, I bought a NOVA NW12 Mesh System and that's annoying me too, as the coverage has not improved much.
I'm contemplating buying another Starlink Mesh Wifi Router, then at least it should integrate fully with the main one. These mesh systems are expensive anyways and the price for either option is about the same. I will see how it goes for another few days, then most likely return the Mesh system and buy another Starlink Mesh device.
I'm only getting a boost from the R8000 downstairs, which means Starlink increases to about 83% coverage. The cable idea is a possibility, but given what I'm seeing I am unsure whether this will fully solve the coverage issue.
One question... Before I make a final decision, I am seeing mixed reports on the Extenders. Would you know any that are proven to integrate well with Starlink and give a good signal boost and increased coverage?
Cheers 🙂
