Laptop connection issues
I am hoping that someone has an answer to this, please speak in plain English as I am OLD and not a techie. Recently my daughters HP laptop connects to the house wifi but states connected - no intern...

This could be down to Windows on the HP deciding that this is an unsafe wifi connection. Nothing to do with the router. Just Windows.
Try running the network troubleshooter in whatever version of Windows she has.
It is always easy to blame the router on network issues when it can be down to the things you are trying to connect.
