Latest firmware release R7000 AC1900
Latest firmware released 15 Sep 2021 for the R7000 AC1900 - v.128

I have the latest version Nighthawk App 2.11.6.0 installed on my iphone and yes, you guessed it, if you hit the 'Check for Updates' box, it carries out a check and comes back 'Firmware is up to date. No new firmware is available at this time.' I'm currently on firmware v.126. The only reason I found out there was an update, was by checking Netgear's download page for the R7000.
Come on Netgear, sort this out!

I've updated my R7000 to v.128. Prior to doing so whilst still on v.126, I checked in the router browser GUI and pressed the check for updates box. It came back as no update available.
I then uploaded the firmware to v.128, successful, no dramas.
Of course all done via ethernet. I still don't trust updating over WiFi or via the Nighthawk App.
All appears to be working as it should.
Thanks, Portwey84, for the heads up. I am still on a quite old, but stable (for me) firmware release (V1.0.9.42_10.2.44) and still enjoying this router. Messages like yours make me consider jumping to the newest version, possibly safer than the (very) old ones. I keep on reading here!
