Is my nighthawk fried?
Possibly. Lightning is great at killing electronic stuff.
What do the LEDs on the thing show?
If you reset it and it won't work, it may be time for a replacement.

The D7800 is DSL modem/router. What about the DSL LED?
If that isn't showing some colour, then the thing is either dead or the connection to the DSL socket has failed.
The manual tells you what to look for.

and feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.- Kristina90265Nov 15, 2020AspirantThere is no colour (amber or white) showing on for DSL LED.
I have a spare D7800, which was in a box when the lighting storm happened. I have plugged this in as well ans still no DSL lights show up. Could it be the cables which have been cooked?
