Lost access to Buffalo Linkstation NAS after firmware update and reboot of X10 R9000
I'm using Windows 10 pro and have an X10 R9000 Router that's been working great since 2019. Two days ago I installed version V1.0.5.42 firmware update and rebooted the router. Since then I can't acc...

You were right about rolling back the firmware, it didn't solve the problem so I updated to the newest version again. I've tried everything the internet offered for a fix and still cant access my NAS. I can successfully ping the router and I tried accessing it using it's ip address under Map Network Drive but it returns a Network Error "Windows cannot access". Clicking on Diagnose shows the message Details: "The device or resource (LS-WTGL7AF) is not set up to accept connections on port "The Fire and printer sharing (SMB)" I've triple checked and ALL the SMB boxes are checked. Any other suggestions?

I do not think you meant "router" above. Most likely NAS box.
So far everything is pointing to a configuration problem with your NAS box. Have you checked for firmware updates for your NAS?

Buffalo Model Number: LS-WTGL/R1-V3 LinkStation Pro Duo
I may have forgotten to mention that it is no longer visible to laptops on the network. One is Windows 10 the other is Windows 7. Both are wifi and had access previously.

There are help forums on the Buffalo Tech web site. Here is one link:

You can do your own review of the threads. There were recent updates to Windows that impacted devices that use SMB1 for network communication. I recall Windows disabled SMB1 and it is possible to re-enable it in Windows settings.
Put Windows SMB1 in your web browser search engine. Lots of information available. You just have to sort through it. Some may be scams and recommend you don't download and install "Help Site" software. Steer toward links to Microsoft articles.

You're correct, Router should have been NAS. The only firmware update from Buffalo for my model is Version is V3 3.09 dated 1/23/2009. The version shown when logging into the NAS is 3.10.

Is that the NAS Navigator?
On SMB, this is how I am set up.
My LinkStation LSD210D works fine.

The firmware version is shown by using the NAS ip address through web access. NAS Navigator finds the NAS but won't allow browsing or mapping functions. SMB is set the same as yours.
