Low Speeds even on gigabit ethernet
Hi Guys! I have just now got around and threw a cable to my pc. I get 1gbps link speed with no problems. But Speedtest on the router is throwing around 500mbps, and I get half on my pc with the sam...
What modem are you connected to?
Qos isn't recommend at speeds >250mbps.
Try disabling qos, traffic monitoring, access controls, and parental controls. Then reboot the router.
If that doesn't help, try a factory reset of the router and speedtest it with everything installed with defaults
Also, the built in speedtest from netgear isn't accurate at >500 mbps speeds because it rarely picks the fastest test server. I recommend doing it through the browser on your pc/laptop thats capable of maxing out gigabit speeds
