Minor latency when using router (10ms increase)

Was wondering if having a 10ms increase when going from modem to router is normal . Only 1 device is on the router when testing , tried QoS on/off . Basically if I play League of Legends hardwired to modem im at 40ms , but on router its 50ms . Was wondering if this is normal - which to me seems high. Anything I should try ? I've updated firmwares so far , changing DNS and QoS off/on.

Thanks

I don't worry about such things, so I know nothing, but 10ms (25%)
doesn't sound to me like a huge increase.  I wouldn't expect adding a
    router to _decrease_ the latency.

Complaints about recent R7000 firmware versions abound.

      Firmware Version
      V1.0.9.88_10.2.88

For competitive gaming 25% is a lot to me .

Believe i'm on the latest firmware as I was trying to stay ahead , but might try to rollback to an earlier one if people has had issues with this one .

      Thanks for the reply!

Seems this has it fixed , down to 40ms (same as modem)

Bit crazy that they aren't able to fine tune these firmwares .

      Thanks for the help.
