model R6400 Cell phone issues

I would like to be able to use my computer to edit information. Such as change the password, or add an extender.

I have a problem using my cell phone as the screen is small as my 81 year old eyes don't see as well on a small screen.

Previously I was able to sign in using 192,168.1.1 but that no longer works.

Is there a way to do my editing etc. on my big screen rather than the small cell phone.

When I try to sign in one of my connections has a unknown password and this concerns me.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you...

  • I was finally able to get to it with my computer and make the changes I needed to make.

What I had to do was go into my browser and delete cache and history.

When I signed on again I found there was an update to the firmware.

I updated that but still have to delete my cache any time I want to access the routher.

Thank you for your suggestions. I appreciate them.

    John

      Thank you for your reply.

Unfortunatley Netgear relies on their customers to provide support rather than doing it themselves.

That said the customer support is far better than what Netgear offers.

The link Netgear (www.link) sent me about your reply was a dead end. So I had to open the page in a browser.

Even then I had to search for your reply.

I appreciate your answer but when I tried the link, in three different browsers, it didn't work.

I tried it with both a .net and a .com extension. Both timed out. The 192.169.xxx.xxx numbers also don't work.

      Again, Thank you...

      John

It sounds like the Ip address of the router has changed and that's why you can not access it. Is your ISP modem have a router built into it?
