After a few weeks V1.0.4.26 has remained stable. Key is to factory reset after updating the firmware to V1.0.4.26, turn off MU-MIMO and Beamforming as has been recommended in other threads.

Voxel publish his source code on Github:
https://github.com/SVoxel
(The R8900 is the same as the R9000 except the QoS handling//some "wireless speed model"; For R8900, 2.4G only support 64QAM).
See this thread for more info:

- haberdasher_99Apr 27, 2019Aspirant5Ghz broken yet again. 2.4 is working fine. I will post the content of the logs later but likely nothing of significance will show in there. The radio was transmitting and I can attempt to join it. However, my iPhone it promoted me for my password.
Went to my HP AIO and found I was able to connect to 5Ghz but no internet connection, then connected 2.4Ghz and from the HP it worked fine. Browsed the log. Reconnected from HP to 5Ghz and the Internet works on 5Ghz now for the HP.
Going to test from iPhone next (which is where I am making this post).
