Multiple accounts and passwords
I seem to have two Net Gear accounts with separate log-ins; one for my main account and another that's - - -account.netgear---.
Do I have to have two log-ins? If no, how do I eliminate one without upsetting the apple cart?

You should have one for the netgear site here:
https://www.netgear.com/support/#
This one should be use primarily for all of your NG products and some mobile apps.
After you log into a mobile app with your NG account, it should ask you for the device log in:
You have a device log in account "admin" and a PW that gets you logged into the device.
