My kids trying to outsmart me with internet restriction - R6700v3
So, I've got internet usage time restrictions at home, I've set it up through Security > Schedule, and defined a time to block internet access, to prevent my kids from going online after a certain time.
However, in the attempt to cheat the system, every now and then they hard-reset the router (R6700v3), and so I have to set it up from scratch again.
Is there a way to prevent them from doing this?
Ya, put the router in a lockable room or closet that you only have access too.
Make a backup configuration to file of after when you've set up the router completely. If and when the router gets reset, you can easily restore the file from backup and be up and running quickly.

I'd leave it out.
And whenever they cheat the system and reset it, you remove the router for 48 hours. (or whatever time period impacts them the most). And I'd shut off any phone data they might have. If they find out the repercussions last longer than the benefit they get, it might be a good lesson.
Or take FURRYe38 advise and lock it in a cabinet.
