My R6700 v3 went through a firmware update, never completed, and now my router won't factory reset.
I tried doing a factory reset, but the power light just keeps slowly flashing orange forever. When I cycle it (unplug for 2 minutes with nothing connected), the thing powers up but the power light is orange (continuous, or solid). No other lights turn on, except when I connect my PC via ethernet, the port number turns orange too. Please help!

You can try recoving it with tftp or nmrpflash.
are you on windows? if so, follow this guide
https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP
just make sure you enable tftp
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-tftp-windows-10
and here's a video walk through using a tftp client. Use the built in one for windows 10 though. the video is more of an example of how its done.

and if that doesn't work, you can try using nmrpflash
- Willisk15AspirantI tried all of these, and none were successful. Yes, I'm on Windows. It keeps rejecting the firmware install. The Tftp program in particular says that it is "unable to get responses from the server" after deleting the cache and getting halfway through upgrading.

it can take a few attempts as its sensitive to timing. try both programs and watch the video
