Need best choice for router

We just moved into a rural area with no Comcast, etc. I have a modem and internet connection installed by Coastal Broadband but I need to know the best choice of a router to cover our two floor 1400 square foot home. ESVBA gave us a list of routers to buy, the list is about 5 years out of date.

 

Any ideas of what we should purchase? We have no coaxial cable, just an ethernet connection from the wall modem.

    1400 sq ft total or per floor? 

    Whats the home made from on the interior (certain materials block wifi better than others)?

    If its a standard construction, you should be fine with a single router solution, then it'd be more about what features you want. 

    You can narrow the routers by filtering on the netgear router page.
