Nest Thermostat

I did the MAC lookup and added it as approved in my router but the Nest still will not attach to the R7800 router.  It cannot be this hard...right?  Come on you smart folks out there.....give me the answer I need please!

  • No need to use any MAC filtering with NESTs.

Ive had both of my NESTs connected to my 2.4Ghz radio since day one. I use UpTo300Mb on 2.4Ghz, manual channels 1, 6 or 11 and WPA2 and AES only.

I appreciate your response but I have no idea how to hook it up like you are talking about.  Can you give simple steps on what to do?  I am very much a novice.

Navigate to your routers web page.

Under the Advanced tab, navigate to Setup, then Wireless setup. You'll find these settings here...
