Netgear AC1000 firmware upgrade assistant just spooling

Model R6080, Nighthawk firmware, OS.  Have internet connection but the Firmware Upgrade Assistant is spooling and has been for the last hour and a half and hasn't moved ahead, it is on my iPad.

Any suggestions on how to get it moving or quitting out of it?

    I would highly recommend against updating using the app or over wifi. I recommend any firmware changes be done over a wired connection to the router. 

    If its been going on for >10 minutes, something went wrong. Either the app failed, the router failed, or something just went wrong. 

    Is the router still working? You're able to use it?
