What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
If you factory reset the router by pressing the reset button, with out the router connected to anything, does the router turn ON and blink as per user manual or installation guide?

Might try to power OFF the ONT for 1 minute then back ON.
Any chance to try and run a different long patch CAT6 cable from the ONT to the ROUTER to see if anything changes? You might check the user manual for LED behaviors.

I dont see how i would power cycle the ont. I can only unplug the battery back up, inside the house.
I dont have cat6 cable.
the lights are correct according to manual.
when i bypass router and wire directly to pc i have no issues. I think that would eleminate the cat5 and ont being a problem would it not?

I suppose. Only thing would be to try the NG router at a different location, say friend, family or nieghbors place to see if the problem follows, it so, the router maybe bad and needs replacing. Only other item would be to test a different power supply with same volts and amps.
